We started growing in 2008, planting gardens in private yards and selling the vegetables, herbs and flowers we grew. The first year our gardens totalled less than 1/4 acre and we attended 1 local farmers' market. Since then, we've grown a lot. We still have 6 gardens in local yards, and now we also have a giant garden on a site we lease from The Trustees of Reservations. We sell our produce at farmers' markets, through our farmers' market CSA and to local restaurants. For more information visit About The Farm. We were recently featured as a Farmer Hero by Farm Aid. You can read the article here.
Our summer farmers' markets run from June through Thanksgiving. This year we will be returning to the Dedham Square Farmers' Market on Wednesdays from 12-6 pm, the Roslindale Farmers' Market on Saturdays from 9-1:30, and the Needham Farmers' Market on Sundays from 12-4 pm.
We also attend the indoor winter market in Egleston Square in Jamaica Plain. The market is from 10-2 on Saturdays from November through the end of February. Market is held in the Our Lady Of Lourdes church hall at 45 Brookside Ave. It's a wonderful warm space filled with a great mix of vendors offering produce, meat, seafood, fiber, crafts, nuts, apples, bakers and more.
We send out informational newsletters every few weeks. Our newsletters have gardening advice, stories from our farm, and occasionally, opportunities to pre-order produce via email. Please subscribe to our newsletter by emailing us.
